Introduction / background
This Quarry needed a solution to control dust right through the materials handling chain starting at the Crusher, along the conveyors to the stockpiles the loading onto trucks.
Our recommended solution was
HiFoam.
HiFoam application
HiFoam was added at a 0.7% dilution rate through application equipment specifically designed and manufactured for this application.
The equipment uses compressed air, water and
HiFoam to create a foam with shaving cream consistency.
This foam is added into the crusher which creates a micro film of foam over all the aggregate.
Results
- Total dust elimination through the materials handling chain
- Foam dissipated by the end of the material handling chain
